Six Senses Con Dao

When to visit Con Dao

From April to October, turtles nest on the beaches around the Islands. In collaboration with national parks, Six Senses Con Dao has become the proud custodians of selected clutches of turtle eggs. Guests staying at the resort will have chance to participate in the early morning hatchling releases.

During February to July, the waters around Con Dao are at their clearest for diving, with visibility averaging around 70 to 100 feet (20 to 30 meters).

Officially running from May to October, there are some thirteen beaches around the islands where Green Turtles come to nest.

From mid-July to early-November, you’ll be given an opportunity for an up-close experience to watch baby turtles heading down to the beach as they start their life’s journey from our turtle sanctuary. Thanks to the collaboration with Con Dao national park, our turtle incubation “Let’s Get Cracking” is the birthplace of many hatchlings.

The coral waters around Con Dao are at their clearest during this time with visibility averaging around 70 to 100 feet (20 to 30 meters). With conditions at their best – little wind and low tidal movement, wrap the snorkel and witness the beautiful underwater ecosystem.

It’s time for the cool wind blows. During the end of the year, sky is clear blue and weather is utterly comfortable. Rain is less and sun shines almost the whole day. This is the perfect time to explore the local life and discover the island’s nature.
