Notably Travel + Leisure Magazine have recently named Bai Dam Trau on Con Dao as one of the 25 Most Beautiful Beaches in the World for 2023. Not only was the beach identified as Vietnam’s best it was 1 of only 3 named from South East Asia. The other 2 were Railay West in Thailand and Saud Beach in the Philippines. South East Asia’s finest beaches sit on the list alongside some of the world’s most admired including Copacabana Beach in Brazil, Camps Bay Beach in Cape Town, South Africa, Australia’s signature Whitehaven Beach, Le Morne in Mauritius and Le Pelosa Beach on the island of Sardinia in Italy just to name a few. Very exclusive company!

Bai Dam Trau's Listing

Of Con Dao’s Bai Dam Trau, in the announcement on the 27th of March 2023 Travel + Leisure said:

“Trying to select Vietnam’s most beautiful beach is tough, but Bai Dam Trau in the Con Dao islands is certainly a top contender. With distinct golden sand, soft swells, and shady groves of bamboo and evergreen trees, it’s the kind of place to spend the day gently swinging in a hammock with a beach read or walking in the surf with a freshly hacked coconut. The island’s nearby airport means commercial jets fly thrillingly close, bringing momentary excitement (or disruption, to some) to the otherwise idyllic spot.”
